By utilizing Swim, users gain immediate insight into their surroundings. They connect with groups, referred to as Pools, which participate in enjoyable and enriching activities together in real-life settings. Additionally, users have the ability to establish their own communities at their preferred locations and extend access to chosen individuals.

The 'Around Me' feature allows users to explore real-world activities in their vicinity and interact with others at their own pace through Public Pools situated in a variety of locations such as streets, cafes, clubs, and university campuses. Moreover, there are By Invite Pools, created by individuals involved in local sports teams, book clubs, or hiking organizations, which users can view and request access to.

Users can also form Private Pools for exclusive interactions with their friends, enabling them to chat, share media, or organize weekend plans without algorithmic interference. Pools can be generated swiftly in under a minute, geotagged, and designated as Public (visible to all for access), By Invite (visible but accessible solely to members), or Private (invisible to all except invitees).

Pool Spaces can be designated (resembling channels) for distinct conversations among friends, allowing for neat organization rather than a singular chaotic thread of communication.
